Practical guide
How image dimensions become PDF pages
The tool reads each image dimension and orientation, then creates one PDF page per image. It does not crop photos or stretch them into a square, and the list order becomes the PDF page order.
Start with Balanced and check file size and legibility. Original keeps the image data; compressed modes resize large images, encode them as JPEG, and turn transparency white. Use High quality or Original if small text becomes blurred. Combining photos into a PDF alone does not create searchable text.

⚠️Caveats
- Compression reduces image detail. Page proportions and size are preserved; transparent PNG areas become white in compressed modes. Original keeps image bytes and transparency.
- Up to 50 images, 150 MB total, and 40 megapixels per image. Large batches can still exceed your device memory; try fewer images if conversion fails.
- This creates image-only pages, not searchable text. For later OCR, choose High quality and use sharp, evenly lit photos. Upscaling cannot restore missing detail.
- Leaving or reloading the page resets the current image queue, so wait for the download to start.

Q.What happens if horizontal and vertical images are mixed?
The conversion engine automatically inspects and maps the unique aspect ratio of each file, preventing distortion or stretching of mixed layouts.
Q.How can I make a smaller PDF from photos?
Balanced resizes images to a maximum long edge of 2400 pixels and applies JPEG compression. Small file uses 1800 pixels; High quality uses 3508 pixels. Images are never enlarged. Results depend on the originals: already optimized JPEGs may save little, and PDF structure adds some overhead. Original embeds the existing image bytes.
